William Granger “Bill” Fox, 46, of Huntersville passed away on August 31, 2017. He was born on December 22, 1970 in Liverpool, NY.
Bill graduated from St. Bonaventure University and, growing up in New York state, was an avid fan of the Syracuse University Orangemen and the Buffalo Bills. He had been an avid tennis player and loved to watch tennis. He was a Regional Vice President for Principal Financial Group where he was a disability specialist for many years. He was truly passionate about his career. He grew up spending summers on Canandaigua Lake and his family trips there in the summers were the highlight of his year. It was truly his “happy place”. Bill had a very tight knit group of friends from his childhood with whom he shared a love of Van Halen and shared many inside jokes. He was also a huge Neil Diamond fan. Bill was a doting husband and loving father and was happiest spending time with his children. He was known as the “Jim Boeheim” of his son’s basketball league, pacing the sidelines and coaching from the bench.
He is survived by his wife Abbey; daughters, Lauren and Megan; sons, Charles and Thomas; mother, Janis Green Barnes; father, James Fox (Linda); grandmother, Elsie K Green; siblings, Carolyn Fox Gutzmer, Jim Fox and Katie Fox; nieces, Carlie and Tori Gutzmer. He is united in his death with his late grandfather, Granger E. Green, who was his best friend and his hero.
