Eric Todd Dahmer, age 52, of Charlotte, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Eric was the son of the late Donald and Dale Moodie Dahmer. He is survived by two sons, Andrew Huston Dahmer of Hickory and Ethan Thomas Dahmer of Charlotte.
Additional surviving family members include Tracy Dahmer Jaekle of Winston Salem, Lorri Dahmer Foster and her husband, Ronald of Youngsville, NC and their children Peyton and Jacob. Dahmer uncles include Wayne, Clyde, Eddie, Ray, Bob, John and Richard and aunts including Faye Webster, Nancy Long and Gail Weathers all located throughout NC. A special mention of Auntie Gail known to handle Eric’s laundry as a starving college student many years ago to being the rock and soul for him, his boys and his sisters and their families after the loss of their parents.
Eric was born in Fort Eustis, VA on February 19, 1965. He grew up in Winston-Salem, NC, graduated from UNCC, and spent the last 20 years working as a system engineer at Wells Fargo.
Eric enjoyed many activities with his boys including Boy Scouts, hiking, gaming, snow skiing, and garage mayhem while listening to Jimmy Buffet. He spent his spare time studying history, cars, computers and World War II information due to his grandfather’s enlistment with the US Navy during that time.
A Celebration of Eric’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the chapel of James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
