In the early morning hours of Friday, September 29, 2017, the angels carried our beloved mother to heaven.
Louise Hall Davis was born on November 19, 1922, in Covington County, Alabama. She was the youngest of eight children to Rufus Troy Hall and Penelope Tisdale Hall. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph, Fred, Roscoe and sisters, Era, Ruth, Mary and Naomi; husband, Harold M. Davis and son, Ted Hall Davis.
Louise was a member of First Baptist Church, Marion, NC for over 65 years where she was a member of Grace Mitchem Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed sewing for her family, cooking, traveling to Alabama to spend time with her family and long walks on the beach gathering sea shells.
Louise is survived by two daughters, Penny Davis of Charlotte and Joan Kerr and her husband, Randy of Garden City, SC and loving nieces, nephews and their families.
The family thanks Penny Vaughan for many years of caring for Louise, as well as the entire staff at Preston House Assisted Living in Charlotte for providing care and their love for Louise. Each of you hold a special place in our hearts.
Her funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Terry D. Childers of Boone, NC at 12:00 pm, Monday, October 2, 2017 in the chapel of James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A Graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm, Monday, October 2, in McDowell Memorial Park, Marion NC, conducted by Rev. Dr. Scott Hagaman of First Baptist Church. Louise will be laid to rest next to her husband and son.
